He said good quality though.
One area Android lacks at the moment is games, the overall standard of them isn't anywhere near what it is on the iphone. It's getting better, with more and more iphone devs jumping over, but it's just a very immature market with very few stand out games.
Logmein Ignition has an app that works extremely well, it's €23.99.
Iplayer streams perfectly using the website if you're on 2.2, there's also apps that work well.
You can stream anything that uses flash based players as android 2.2 has native flash 10.1 support (including VM's player).

Dial a phone doing for £20.00 month on o2 but no data included.
Are there plenty of good quality games on htc (currently use iPod touch)
Does logmein ignition work on htc?
Does BBC iplayer stream ok?
What about other channels?

I don't think BBC iplayer has a app for Android phones yet, but MyPlayer is good.

Re: Virgin Mobile & HTC Desire
You don't seen an inlayer app for the HTC Desire, just go to the iplayer site, it works fine.

No. It does not work. Not at all. It quite clearly says "Your Phone Is Not Supported" if you go to iPlayer on a HTC Desire.
Don't believe what Virgin tell you. Most of the staff haven't a clue.

Yes it does work just fine. But then that's most likely as my phone is running android 2.2

Yes. As is mine. And BBc clearly say the HTC Desire is not supported.
Use myplayer.
You do seem to be a typical Virgin staff member, uninformed and inclined to mislead...

Well considering dilligaf1701 is not a member of staff for Virgin it would seem you got it wrong. However your post is typical of someone who engages mouth before brain
However i have taken time to read your other posts and from that i can see you have a problem with Virgin staff members ??
Here's another good one http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/35072535-post51.html
Well i do work for them so flame away.

Well, he does say something about Virgin in his details, maybe that's where I got the idea he worked for them. But, since you say you do , perhaps you can explain why he might think iPlayer works on the HTC desire supplied by Virgin when in fact, it does not.

I do know he has one so why not ask him that question, Its not my job to explain to you what he posted or why again why not ASK him. I personally use a iPhone and have no experience of the HTC desire. I don't work for Virgin mobile ether before you ask, I work for Virgin media a different part of the company.

Re: Virgin Mobile & HTC Desire
I said it works on my desire, which it does. I never said it works on one supplied by virgin.

Well, if that's the case it only further proves my point that Virgin's staff are uninformed and tend to mislead the customers. Your Desire can access a service the BBC says it cannot, mine, supplied by Virgin Mobile, can't.

I think if you actually thought about the accents and names of the staff you spoke to over at Virgin Mobile that by now you would have realised that virtually none of them are based in the UK as the callcentre you normally speak to are in the Philippines, so will be reading from a script.
