IRC/MSN on Virgin Mobile

I know alot of networks currently support the use of an IRC Client like wlirc and MSN on a mobile.

My question is with the new change to the tarrif for internet on a virgin mobile would it be expensive or cheap what sort of price may someone be looking at to use wlirc or msn on a mobile phone with Virgin Mobile as the network provider.

Re: IRC/MSN on Virgin Mobile

I don't know the exact prices but GPRS data on Virgin Mobile is normally pretty steep.

They both use data - virgin is not a data network (unless you are as rich as Richard Branson) they are great for text and talk but I wouldn't use them for data!

Re: IRC/MSN on Virgin Mobile

Just in case you think 0.5p doesn't sound much, that works out at £5 per Mb and to put that into perspective I use anywhere between 60 and 500Mb per month - but not on Virgin!
