Help for newbie with sky+

I hope somebody can help me out with what is probably an easy answer, but I don't know it
If I buy a second hand Sky + box, and a quad LNB, will I be able to use it with my current sky card, or will I need to pay sky extra to use the record facility?

Re: Help for newbie with sky+

it all depends on what package u are on.

if u get sports or movies then the sky+ functions should be free. All u need to do is once u get the box is to pair the card up and get sky to turn on the sky+ functions on the card
