using sky+ when subscription is cancelled

I have been told by Sky that if I cancel my subscription with them the Sky+ facility i.e. record, live pause, rewind etc will no longer work. If I want it to continue working I will have to pay £10 per month.

Does anyone know if this is true? Has anyone cancelled their subscription and still been able to usethe Sky+ facility?

You lose that facility with the Virginmedia V+ box so I cannot see SKY being any different.

Re: using sky+ when subscription is cancelled

Hi, I have cancelled my sky subscription and I am unable to watch anything that I previously recorded on the box. I think this is very unfair as I have paid my monies to sky. So if anyone does know how to retrieve all this stuff without paying out any more I would be very grateful.Cash.

You can't unless you re-subscribe - or download the programmes off the web - but I didn't say that!
