Sky Plus problem/question.

The box turns itself off, with no warning. Leave it for a few minutes, turn on via remote all ok. When going to bed, turn it off, red light comes on. In the morning, red light now green. Is this something I can fix? Thanks.

Re: Sky Plus problem/question.

If it's under warranty I would ring Sky and get it replaced.

I believe you can do something like a master reset, with some special remote control codes and then download everything again. Basically an engineer install. Google may help with this.

Re: Sky Plus problem/question.

If you have auto-standby activated then try turning it off.

Re: Sky Plus problem/question.

Try a software update, turn the box off at the mains and hold down the "Back Up" button on the front of the box, and with the button still held, turn the mains power back on and keep the button held until the software update screen comes up. This can often helps if there's been a failed software update, or it'll do nothing, but it can't hurt to try
