Sky+ with freesat card

I have a quad LNB so no worries on the "2 feed" part.

As I dont subscribe to any sky services but just use the free service provided if I brought a Sky+ box and connected it up and used my existing freesat card would I still get the option to watch 1 channel whilst recording another or is it a case of needing a subscription to enable the service.

Which you get included in any subscription so you might as well pay a few quid more for a pair of channel packs surely?

Re: Sky+ with freesat card

Apart from if anything goes wrong you will get support from sky for the extra couple of quid paid for the packs. Go for the free option and you are restricted in what you can do if something goes wrong.
