New Sky+ box - old card

This has probably been asked 100's of times.

I have sky multi-room with a Sky+ downstairs and a Normal one upstairs.

A friend of mine moved to V+ and so had a Sky+ going spare which I took off him.

I fitted it upstairs (with two feeds) but when I press pause or record it advises that I have to phone sky to upgrade??

Do I need a new card?? or do I have to register the fact that I now have a sky+ box?

If I need to register can do this via the installers menu on the Sky+ box.

I'm sure others have had a problem like this?

Cheers

Re: New Sky+ box - old card

Phone Tech Support, they will pair the card to the box and should activate the Sky+ features.

Re: New Sky+ box - old card

I think the Sky+ stuff can take up to 24h to activate once turned on at their end, and Anytime TV won't start downloading for a few days

Re: New Sky+ box - old card

hi Pierre do u have 2 feeds going into the new sky+ receiver if not then u will need to run another one as sky+ needs 2 feeds from the sat dish.

then do a call back from the box before you call sky will save time on the phone.

then give sky a call to pair and activate the sky+ functions on the new box.

they say if can take upto 4 hours normally its done in a matter of minuets
once your off the phone to sky leave your box on channel 501 sky news as it helps
