the conections in the back of my sky box?

hello im having a bit of trouble finding out if my sky box has a dmi connector to go to my hdmi connection in the back of my new flat screen tv, had a look and it has wat looks like the type u get on the back of ur monitor to connect to pc bit like a scart but with 2 screw things at each side but smaller than a scart, does all that make sense to anyone lol i want to connect my sky box to my tv via hdmi but unsure wat cable to get and if the sky box is at all compatable, its just the basic sky box by the way had it a few months could anybody help me on this thnx jojoxx

Does that connection (on the Sky box) have RS232 written next to it by any chance?

If it does then it's not a DMI connection.

yer i think it does il go check to make sure, yes it does so does that mean i cant connect sky to tv through hdmi, if thats right thats a load of pooh is this skys way of making u spend more money on a better box, i wanted to get a better picture from sky using hdmi but looks like i cant ah well never mind thnx anyways jojoxx

the only box that sky have that will have the HDMI connection is the HD box.

the connection u are talking about is for 3rd party options.
