Live Pause: Is this MEANT to happen?

Ok I was pausing live TV like I would do on Virgin. And about 30mins later I pressed play.

So I watched part of the "The 34 stone teenager", 30mins later again it STOPPED and said "To watch live tv press ok, to continue press abckup" well something like that, I pressed backup and the message came up again immediatly, then I tried a few more times, It did it again! So I had no choice to pres OK and I missed the end of the show.

Is it meant to die after an hour even if your watching it??
