London 2012 torch route announced
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-15572381
Going to Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield but only to disadvantaged suburbs of Manchester - Rusholme, Longsight, Moss Side, Levenshulme according to http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13391986
Even though the 2012 website promotes Manchester itself:
http://www.london2012.com/games/olym...manchester.php
Much easier for people from the surrounding area to get to the city centre than the suburbs.
Smacks a bit of PC...

Blow the torch out as it passes

Re: London 2012 torch route announced
mmm - 8AM on a Sunday morning to see it half a mile down the road - don't think that'll happen. May be tempted to go to Peterborough or Cambridge for the evening stuff & combine with a few beers
