With Rosberg and Heidfeld at Brawn..
Even the though the race team and engine factory are both in the UK whats the betting the team will be registered as German.
No obvious room for Raikkonen on the grid. Would he go to Renault alongside Kubica or will there be pressure for a French driver in a Blue and White Renault Gordini ??

The team would have been a US team then too as Teddy Mayer owned them.
Depends on the personalities of the drivers too I think Hamilton and Button might be able to race against each other better than with Alonso and Hamilton.
McLaren only produce a good car every other year so looks like next year is the year to be there.
A lot will also depend on how the car drives will it suit both their styles

If this is true then it is Lewis and Jenson next year.
Maclaren will still be supplied with Merc engines through the 2015 season but don't be surprised if the following season Maclaren are using their own engines.
One thing for sure JB will be a better partner than Kovi.

Re: Formula 1 2010 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
I said it in the 2009 thread, although I don;t like JB (and never hid that fact) I'd love to see him at McLaren. A team with a truely British theme to it would really get the press who have had a lot of bad things to report about F1 this last year (and of course a few good things) behind the sport more and more in this country like in Italy, Brazil...etc..

[2pennies]Jenson at McLaren won't last. I don't even rate him. He only did what he did because of the legend that is Ross Brawn.
Jenson should have stayed with Brawn.[/2pennies]

hmm.. I don't rate JB either - he did very well when his car was better than everyone else's - but if they'd all started off on an even keel he'd be nowhere near the top of the points.
I think the second half of the season showed his driving ability, whilst good, isn't good enough.

Could this be the same "sabbatical" that Häkkinen took?

Could that be the reason why he is moving to McLaren? Either to get a better car, or to use the car as an excuse for not performing as a champion should?

What, you mean the same way Hamilton only won because his car was better than everyone elses?
People seem to forget that, at the start of the season, while Jenson was doing well because he had the best car, Hamilton was at the other end of the grid because his car wasn't any good.
Only when his car improved did Hamilton start moveing up the grid.
Very rarely has a driver with an inferior car won a championship, in fact the only person that regularly made a car outperform itself was Schumacher in the late 90's when he raced the arse off an inferior Ferrari, but he still failed to beat the Williams of Villneuve and Mclaren of Hakkinen. Only when Ferrari got the car right did Schmacher start winning his championships.
IMO, all these people who are saying that Button only won because he had the best car do not understand F1 very much.
Yes, he had the best car and yes he won, he should have been winning. Later in the year when the other teams caught up he still managed to hang in there and continue to score points, that's what won him the championship.
Towards the end of the year Redbull had the best car -guess what - they started winning.
We'll see next year. I don't think Hamilton will dominate button. As long as they have identical equipment.

I agree, in the most part. F1 is just as much about teams as it is about the individual. Schumacher would not have won as much as he did at Benetton, if he didn't have the best pit team in the business. The car is as important as the driver. If it was the cars that were winning the races for JB, how comes Barrichello was still winning?

very true, and until the powers that be remove the over reliance on the car and the wind tunnel programme we are stuck with never really knowing who is the best driver each year
