Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Nani is out for a few weeks but to be honest I don't think that is much of a loss. Ok he scored but then after watching him for a couple of years we know he will also whack the ball from distance 20 more times with no end product. He didn't do much else in the match and don't think we fielded a great side either.
Foster had a touch of the VDS about him, lets hope this match was a blip and we can start the league better.
Rooney looked good up front and hope we can play him there all season

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Just watched Norway beat Scotland the ref had a shocker
Next up England - Can't understand the stupid decision by the English FA to play a friendly 3-4 days before the start of the season.Lets hope no body from any clubs get injured.

when will football fans realise that football is played all over the world and their is a league in virtually every single country in the world.
Due to the different weather conditions not all the leagues have games at the same time, Norway in Europe play during the summer. as do a lot of other leagues too.
As such there is a difference between the levels of performance , and match fitness of different teams throughout the world and no ideal time for everyone to play.
As such FIFA have the international calendar which has dates throughout the year, some of which may be bad for England and other dates which are great for England but are at times when it is the start of other leagues or when players are on holiday as the league is shut down.
We could just let nations themselves decide when to play matches like the Africa Nations Cup which is outside this window and we all know the havok that cause with players leaving for weeks during the league. So that clearly doesn't work which is why the FIFA International windows work very well
For all those who says this is a stupid time for a game come up with a better solution ?

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
Well as England's game was only a friendly it was quite pointless to play just 3 days before the season started.AS the commentator and co commentator said.
Scotland was a World Cup Qulifier so I agree that had to be played no problems there.

Wasn't exactly a steal, they had 10 good chances and Hull rode their luck.

Re: Football : Season 2009/2010
They still won't get into the top 4, Blackburn are hardly the best test of Man City's throw money at it strategy.
