Rio as captin is that good or bad?
Beckham back, good or bad?

My Views

Rio fantastic player need him in the game but captin material he is not he doesnt show that edge like beckham and former captins , I would rather see someone like Steve G have that he is great player and will keep spirts high.

Beckham love the guy he has always been a gr8 player deserves his cap and then leave him b, let him go with a bang

I think Beckham should get his 100th cap then say Cheerio & Thanks!

John Terry or Stevie G should be captain, but it pains me to say that as a Man Utd fan. My preference would be Terry as captain. Although his temper can let him down sometimes. (Who am I to comment about temper? ). Gerrard is a bit more relaxed and not as easily wound up like Terry.

I'm sorry but Gerrard is a pathetic captain, every time he has been captain for England he's done nothing to motivate players or encourage the team and it's the same for when he plays for Liverpool with Sunday against United being a prime example. He did nothing when Mascharano got sent off and was poor at getting the team playing after that. John Terry - we just need to look whats happened since he's been captain for England - we have been rubbish and it isn't a coincidance in my opinion, he's been a very poor captain for England and shows not half the passion he does when playing for Chelsea. A change is needed and Rio is by far the best option, he's a natural leader and is able to organise a defence, just look at this season for United - only conceded 15 goals so far this season. He would be captain for Man Utd if it wasn't for Giggs and is always stand in captain if he is unavailable. Good choice by Capello in my opinion

Beckham deserves his 100th cap, he's been a top player for England and i think he still has something to offer, he's still the best crosser and dead ball specialist around and there's been no one good enough to fill he's boots since the last world cup. David Bentley maybe, but i think he's very inconsistant. It wouldn't suprise me if Beckham is still in the squad at the 2010 world cup.
