Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
TBR, I know the dutch havent been playing proper footie for a while (sack the manager game is needed) but I think as soon as there is a decent manager again (bring back Louis van Gaal or Guus Hiddink) there will be fire again, say a team with Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben on the flanks together with say Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt in the attack.

Actually, after our recent displays i think we'll have you. The only trouble is that i dont actually think your lot will be our biggest problem, that will come in the form of Macedonia and Norway.
|
We'll see. They should be interesting matches. BTW: Holland struggle with the smaller nations as well.

And support from Sneijder and Van der Vaart, and the option to bring on Huntelaar. Good things could happen. Oh Yes

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
So, McClaren gets sacked, and now Billy Davies gets sacked from Derby (McClarens former employer) Interesting timing!
McClaren is 25/1 for the Derby job, might just be worth a punt me thinks.

Hopefully Weymouth will stand aside tomorrow, then United will, with any luck, get a good draw in the next round.........fingers crossed on both accounts.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
If Germany had swapped places with Romania then Group C would be incredible.

You might like to look at the head to head stats. Not too shabby.
