Thanks for clearing that up, I am not sure were I would be if it were not for you..........geographically speaking that is.

You'd have to play their entire qualifying campaign somewhere else, basically.

Rather a good idea, a stadium sponsored by an Arab airline built by a club with largely Jewish directors and a Muslim vice-captain*, in one of the most ethnically mixed areas of the country. Very Benetton.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Believe it or not there were other home nations playing last night. Well done to Wales for managing to draw away against Germany.

The Croats were pure class, they knew where to pass it, what to do with the ball, played as a team, fluid passing and they had some idea of how to use the ball and attack. Their manager also must have had a problem with his seat or something because he kept getting up and shouting a lot.
We were poor all night, no idea at what to do with the ball, just long ball hit and hope, Crouch can't hold up the ball to save his life, no one else supported our lone striker, SWP can't cross and his attacking isn't that great either.
Not seen the match on TV yet but I was 90 yards away, above the Croatian fans, and I didn't think it was a pen.
I've wasted £150 on tickets watching England, plus travel and food money.
Wrong tactics last night as we did in so many games throughout the group.
Glad he's gone but he should have resigned, although then he might have lost out on £2.5m if he did that. Even if it had stayed 2-2 he should have resigned as he just wasn't good enough

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
As expected, England drop down to 12th place in the seedings for the World Cup draw on Sunday......
Quote:

This means they are not in the top nine European countries in the draw when it is made in Durban on Sunday. They are now in the group of second seeds and could possibly face Italy, France or Germany in a potentially hazardous qualifying group.

Thanks Mr McClaren

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
To be fair it's only our second loss of the season - however with Arsenal managing a win at the same time I'm sure we can expect BBking back in this thread for a while, informing us of how the Premiership will never return to the north again....

I don't want to intrude on private grief, United Boys. I know how you're hurting inside, although it's a fairly distant memory these days.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Can't you just be happy that a fellow British team has been playing so successfully?
(You know, the kind of thing I get told when I mention England losing? )
