England swept to a nine-wicket victory over West Indies in the second Test at Trent Bridge to wrap up the series with a game to spare.
Marlon Samuels added a defiant 76 not out to his first-innings century as West Indies limped from overnight 61-6 to 165 all out, setting England a slender target of 108.

I am not so sure den i hear the ecb are not well pleased with his timing a few months before the 20/20 world cup and a windies one day series.!

From what l heard he just wanted to plat the 20/20 game and not the 50 over games and the ECB said no to that but there is still no disguising the talent of the man.

No i agree but that talent comes with a ton of baggage.
The ECB have ruled that England players have to be available for all one day forms of the game to stop them cherry picking which games they want to take part in,that is why he cannot be selected for 20/20 games den,a fact he would have known when he quit ODIs.
