ntl broadband wifi connection

I have just subscribed to ntl cable broadband, can I buy a wifi router that connects to the ntl modem they have supplied or do I need to buy a router modem and connect direct to the ntl cable?

Cable router will do the job make sure it's DSL and not ADSL if you are on their STB or SACM delivered BB though.

As this isn't a question about Cableforum, I have moved it to the Networking forum.

Yep a normal Wireless router is what you need.
The NTL modem plugs into the router and then you connect your computers to the router either via wireless or the router also has ports on the back to connect via ethernet cable too.
Just make sure the router you buy does not have an ADSL modem built in to it as that would not work.

Think Paul means "make sure it's cable and not ADSL"

They're usually described as cable/dsl...
