Netgear Port Forwarding

I had a problem recently with my WGR614 router. I set it to open ports 5060, 5061 & 5062. These ports are used for the VOIP Spa 3000 Analogue Telephone Adapter. After checking with Netgear technical, I found out that only the WGR614 v6 supported the UDP protocol, which is necessasary for these ports. My model was a v4. A change of router solved my problem.
