Question Query on WRT54GC router

I have a problem/query on my Linksys WRT54GC router, Which I only just bought.

When the internet from the STB is directly connected to my computer, I have no problem whatsoever with the internet.

When it is connected via the router, I cannot get any webpages unless I put in a proxy, (although connection to MSN messenger is all right). I have look through all the set up pages of the router and cannot find any apparent wrong setting.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you had a defined proxy or IP previously?

Re: Query on WRT54GC router

When I had the old router, the boxes where I had to enter the proxy (in Internet Options) were left blank.

Re: Query on WRT54GC router

For those of you who has this router and has this problem, the solution was this: reset the modem to factory default. Problem solved QED
