Connection problems

Ive been getting problems the last few days where the internet stops working and the only way to resolve it is to reboot my computer. It happened 3 times yesterday and twice today already and when it happens ive tried disabling and re-enabling the network connection, changing the proxy, changing browsers and clearing temporary internet files but a reboot seems to be the only solution. The 250 modem lights seem normal when this problem occurs with the power, enet, sync and ready lights on steady.Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Connection problems

Any firewalls on the PC? What operating system are you running, what browsers are in use, how are you using the connection when it fails (browsing, P2P, etc)?

Re: Connection problems

Paul,i'm using Windows XP Home SP2 with Norton Internet Security and the discconection occurs only when i'm browsing the net because yesterday i was downloading a file when it happened and the file kept downloading ok but i couldn't browse the net. The problem first happened about 10 days ago but it's been ok up until yesterday.
I use Firefox 99% of the time.

Re: Connection problems

As the problem doesn't appear to be NTL related, I have moved this to the Networking forum.
