Re: hello, need help

I've got an Actiontec Wireless Router - it's no problem, and works reasonably well connecting two laptops with the wireless connection, and one desktop through the ethernet.
However, the problem is the signal strength is LOW to VERY low if connecting from the living room - plus the max speed with Actiontec is 11MB. I see that the Linksys WRT54GSUK from PC World offers speeds of up to 54MB.
Am I likely to get a stronger signal from the Linksys router over the Actiontec, and in reality, is the 54MB speed over 11MB for a laptop going to make that much difference it's worth shelling out £50 for?
Thanks for the advice...

i'd just like to ask a question about the linksys WRT54GSUK router, will it work correctly on the 10mb connection? tried searching the forum but can't seem to find an answer to my question
