Network
I am trying to setup up a network between two laptops using a CAT5.
However when they are both conected it does not show up and remains disconected. I have tested both network ports with another device and they are working fine.
What am i missing?
PS I have also tested with two seperate cables

Re: Network
I'm guessing its a straight through cable then, in which case its the wrong cable. You will need to get hold of a crossover CAT5 in order to link the 2 laptops

Re: Network
a direct connection to a device..ie network card to modem or router, where as crossovers are for linking 2 of the same devices, hub to hub, pc to pc etc
