Homeplug

Wonder if anyone can help me. I`m having problems getting a homeplug I bought to join up with my existing 2 homeplugs. The new one is a different make but I understood when I bought it that it didn`t matter. I`ve tried everything the instructions say to do,as far as I know,(they aren`t exactly crystal clear like so many instructions you get with stuff these days). Have I missed something I wonder? Or perhaps you can`t mixed different makes. The guy I bought it from on e-bay is away at the moment so I can`t contact him for advice so I thought I`d see if theres anyone out there who can help.
Sorry didn`t know where to put it as it was regarding CONNECTION to a freesat box

Re: Homeplug

As this query is nothing to do with Freesat/Freeview I've moved it to networking

Sorry not sure what you mean by `standards`. One says dLAN the other just LAN. Does that make any differance?

That might be a option too. I`ll email the guy I bought it from when he`s back from holiday next week to see what my options are.
