Please help - Devolo Homeplug AVeasy 200 problem - leds blinking

Hi folks,

My Devolo 200 AVeasy homeplugs used to work but I must have messed up when trying to reconfigure one of them.

Once switched on, the power led keeps blinking green, the homeplug led keeps blinking orange, and the network led seems to be off (some light leakage from the homeplug led?).

My other unit is working fine, the same power point works with the other unit. The unit can't be detected by Devolo software so the blinking must be a error state.

Does anyone happen to know what is wrong or how can I reset this device? I just emailed Devolo but don't think I will get a real response for days.

Someone mentioned on a forum they spoke with Devolo who guided them through a reset procedure. Can you please share if you happen to know this.

Manual here

Looks like the routine on page 16 should reset them back into sync.

Re: Please help - Devolo Homeplug AVeasy 200 problem - leds blinking

Hi,

Thanks for reading and responding!

My device is so messed up that it doesn't seem to start up properly. Thus, when I push the button, nothing happens, the lights continue to flash.

I think some kind of power on self test is failing and the flashing is some kind of error code. I'm hoping to be able to reset the device to factory defaults; hopefully it is not bricked. Anyone knows how?

I'll report back once I figure this out.

Hi folks, sorry I forgot to update this thread.

Devolo told me that the way the leds are flashing means the device is dead. I tried re-describing the way it was flashing but same thing, they said it's dead.

Apparently, you either take it back to the store you got it from, or you dump it. There is no way to mail it to them or no overseas repair process.
