Re: Virgin v+ and creating discs.

Yes but the recordings take as long as the programme takes to play the is no fast way to transfer.

Re: Virgin v+ and creating discs.

In v+ extras there's the option to copy any of your recorded content to VCR/DVD - Effectively anything that can capture the content from the scart output.

As Masque says it's copied in realtime but you can still view TV and recorded content and also record other stuff while the process is ongoing.

I expect that anyone actually contemplating doing this would do so as I know I would set it up to run over night.

Re: Virgin v+ and creating discs.

I sometimes set it going overnight but it's really not a problem to archive stuff to DVD at any time.

Once the process has started it's all in the background. You press TV and go back to using your V+ box anyway you would normally.

You can record as usual, pause live TV, watch on demand or anything you've already recorded.

The reason I would do it overnight is simple.

SWMBO would not let me if she was watching something on the television.
