One of the cheapest places is www.cableuniverse.co.uk
Good prices and only £1.99 postage for small cables.

Any decent high street computer store. Assuming these are local to you, even paying high street prices, that can be cheaper than the post and packing on such a small value item.

As far as I am aware there not any PC Shop close, the nearest is PC World, Comet and Staples.

Re: Ethernet pre-made lead/wire where from
The mark up on cables must be huge. My wife used to work at a reseller and we got a 30m length for around £10-15, long time ago. The short 1m patch leads were under £1.

Excuse me when I get back off the floor.
Depends on the computer shop the likes of Pc world charge a fortune for cables.
Infact I Got A friend 2 5M usb cables and 2 7 port hubs for less than Maplin/Pcworld wanted for a single cable.

Re: Ethernet pre-made lead/wire where from
An option that I've used for patch leads before now is my local Toolstation http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Elec...ms/d190/sd2745
if there is a branch near you, it's owned by the folks who built up Screwfix before selling it to B&Q.
Now Screwfix
http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A331844...ng/Patch-Leads
have branches it's worth giving them a check as well to see if they have a nearby branch.
