Re: logging into VM wireless router

Log in using 192.168.1.1 in any browser IE firefox safari etc username is virgin (lower case) password is......password (again lower case). This takes you in to the Netgear Smart wizard page the only thing you need to change is on the wireless settings page under passphrase which you create yourself. After you've reset the passphrase click Apply at the bottom of the page if you get an issue connecting try rebooting modem router and PC/laptop. Passphrase must be between 8 and 63 characters long when your wireless on laptop or desktop tries to connect just enter the passphrase twice and you should get connected

hi bayonet
I tried searching the wireless network by clicking on "view available wireless networks", but it says "windows cannot configure this wireless network". Any suggestions...

Re: logging into VM wireless router

Check your system tray (by the clock), there may well be a configuration utility that is controlling the Wireless card for Windows

Re: logging into VM wireless router

Does it have the name of the VM router it should WGR614v6 also on the router is a wireless symbol and off the top of my head it should be flashing when the wireless is working. A reboot in this order can fix it as well turn everything off then start as normal modem get SYNC and RDY solid green then the router then your laptop. Techguy did you install VMs software if you did it should show up in the connection manager or the tray as Zeph said
