Hi bigglesuk I wouldn't say thats a specifically good deal no, are you wanting that router in paticular? if not then maybe this is worth a look? cheaper and seems to have fairly good reviews obviously some people not happy with it but spotted a couple of VM customers seemed to work well for whilst looking through for you, any opinions on this router from the rest of you CF folk?
Good luck in your search

Re: Good Deal?

If you are going to compare routers there needs to be a comparison between the different wireless speeds available. Amongst the g speed routers the Linksys WRT54g range was definitely a leader. However I don't know about the "n" standard which is supposedly faster than the "g".

Bear in mind however that both g and n are faster than the current fastest broadband. If you are buying wireless now, n is probably the standard to go for to allow future proofing with the faster speeds Virgin Media might be launching.

Re: Good Deal?

I noticed the one you were looking at has a wireless adaptor bundled in with it. You might want to take a look at this......I got this Belkin B5DUK045 G+ MIMO router and adaptor package from PC World the other week. The price seems as good as anywhere and the adaptor is worth £25 (although you dont need to buy another £25 one if you want to add another on - I bought a cheap £10 one from play.com and its fine). Its a nice bit of kit. Well recommended.
