setup wireless network

Hi Not done this before but i have a odd question. Living with my housemate and he has tiscali (i used to have ntl and know you guys are helpful). We hve a wireless router adnboth our laptops are wireless enabled. Now, the router was supplied by sky when he had that but it is a netgear router cos its stamped all over. Is it possible to setup this router with tiscali as a supplier for both our laptops..at the mo we are sharing a cable connection which is driving me mad.

Thanks.

Re: setup wireless network

You are going to have to get into the admin panel controls of the router and see what it allows you to change. If supplied by Sky, they might have disabled the account connection settings screen. If they haven't it should just be a case of putting in your tiscali account details (connection name /. password and stuff) then off you go.

you might want to do a factory reset first on the router.

Re: setup wireless network

I've never used this router, but I believe you have to flash the router with the original Netgear firmware to be able to change the account details.

Re: setup wireless network

Can you point me in the direction of the firmwave please? I 've flashed a dvd drive before so sort of know a little bit.

How do i get in to conect to the router if its wireless if you see what i mean? No physical connection?

Re: setup wireless network
