From anywhere in the world? Perhaps your NAS allows this, mine doesnt so the router does it for me

NAS technology is moving along very quickly its great to see i can host a forum/website/email server on a NAS and run a torrent client + http downloads

Can I just ask why your are buying a vpn/firewall? Seems an odd purchase. I mean we run ISA Server here but we are a business and do use VPN. Would it not have been better to ask here what the benefits of one could be for you before buying unnecessary kit?
FYI most routers/wireless routers have this function built in.

I can connect to my server through the web. I have dynDNS on it, but I'd be able to do it by IP as well.
