Recommend a wireless router please!

Can anybody recommend a good wireless router to work alongside the cable modem?

I'm getting a Nintendo Wii in three weeks time and want to get a wireless router setup tommorrow in advance

I was about to suggest the ol' eBuyer there, Abyss.

...By the way... have you experienced any slowish HTTP transfer rates in Middlesbrough, Abyss? i.e a little less on the standard 1.16mb flat rate.

Seems fine at the moment. If you're on about USA transfers then its as normal, about 1Mbps max.

Thats a few votes i've heard for the Linksys, and for the Buffalo.

Ebuyer is v. cheap, going to have a look in the high street tommorrow.

Looking forward to getting a Wii, anybody else here got one?

A PCI card is better, it will be more reliable and use less system resources. If possible however, you should use a wired connection as it will be even more reliable than a wireless connection.

Remember to enable MAC filtering and some form of encryption when you get it.
