Provisioning screen & wired router

Hi guys n gals

when i am sent to the ntl provisioning logon screen (eg after a package change, stb change etc) are there any extra post registration steps when using a WIRED router. The reason i ask is that pre router i would simply reboot stb & pc and everything would be fine. Since i got the router, after rebooting after the provisioning screen i am sent back to the provisioning screen again. This has happened twice, first time an engineer was present and he kindly sorted it, second time i had to ring tech support who eventually seemd to sort it by geting me to uninstall/reinstall the network card. Am i missing a basic procedure here ?? maybe something to do with manually releasing & renewing the IP addy (don't really know what i'm talking about to be honest ). Many thanks if you can offer some advice

Re: Provisioning screen & wired router

Normally it should just be the router that needs to be registered on that provisioning screen. I assume you have the WAN side of the router set on auto detect. Do you reboot both the router and STB?
