Xbox 360 ?

im trying to set up my xbox 360, Im using a netgear wireless router i have got a ethernet cable coming from the router to my telewest modem using the internet port on the router and im using the wireless adaptor on the 360 but for some reason it keeps failing on the ip address its set to automatic on the 360 has anyone else had this problem ?

Which Netgear router is it?


I assume that the connection for the PC is fine?


Are you using the official MS wireless adaptor for the 360?

Hi Im using a netgear WGT624 with this wireless adaptor and the internet from the pc works fine

Question Re: Xbox 360 ?

Just a thought, are you using WEP or WPA security on your router? If so, you need to input the security key into your xbox360 network settings.
