wireless connection problems

we recently bought a Linksys wireless network because we have 3 pcs around the house wanting to use the broadband. then we found that the signal wasnt able to reach the 3rd computer. so to solve this we tried buying a booster. this is where the problem is. the booster is getting the signal to my pc. and my pc recognises that there is a signal comeing in. yet it wont connect to it. i think my brother said his wouldnt either. i cant understand why we would have a signal and not be able to connect to it.

thanks
