What Software is good to use with NTL webspace ?
I have made a website using frontpage but after uploading it (i am ok on all that) i was not happy as various bits did not show up or was not displayed, i presume this is because of NTL`s limits on what you can use (ie..all those fancy codes you use) > i read somewhere in this forum that certain things are not supported.
Well what i want to know is what software is good to use in creating a website which will be hosted with NTL and will work well even with NTL`s restrictions, i thought you guys might have some reccomendations of what you have used and remember i am new so nothing to hard like all that html coding stuff .
Well thanks and hope to get some advice to point me in the right direction.

I'm using Namo WebEditor 3 which is fine with my NTL site. However can't swear it will work for everyone else.

^Thankyou^.
What happened to me with frontpage (office xp version) was that i got little red `X`s where my buttons to other pages were...but it was fine when viewed in frontpage, so after wasting time i thought i would try something else.
I see there is a free trial with namo so i will give it a go and if its ok i will say so

I'm using a copy I got free with some PC mag sometime.I don't bother with templates so I don't know.I just alter as I want and use it as a basis.I'm not into fancy smanshy so it may be too simple for you. However it's now unavailable.
It does on the whole look much as I load it but I don't always get the images in the right places.I'm thinking of redoing some of the earlier tables/cell versions and getting rid of the thumbnails because of this.
The latest newest version does have templates.
The latest version 5.5 can be purchased here and downloaded here http://www.namo.com/products/webeditor/
Hope that helps.

Re: What Software is good to use with NTL webspace ?
NTLs space does not support front page extensions, so makes the automated change management part of FP not function.
If you find all the images and java scripts etc listed in the code and ftp them to the site in the correct folders then you should have a functioning site as FP intended.

The reason you get X's instead of images is because your images are either not being uploaded (hopefully not) .. or more likely they are not relative links..
This means that your software is making links that read something like: "c:/documents and settings/$yourusername/my documents/yourimagename.jpg/gif" which is fine when you view it on your machine through frontpage.. but useless when on a webserver.
What you need is the link to read: "yourimagename.jpg/gif" and make sure the image is in the same file as the .html files when you upload everything.. (obviously if you upload the images to a folder like "images" you'll need a link that reads "images/yourimagename.jpg/gif"
I hope thats clearer than it looks to me after reading it back to myself

Re: What Software is good to use with NTL webspace ?
I've used Net Objects Fusion 4. I had a cover disc and might be able to find it and MSN it to you if you are interested. It is fairly simple to use. I looked at source codes of pages I wanted to emulate and edited mine until it worked like them. I am not a very creative person so my effort at making webpages looks a bit ropey.
ps Does anyone know if there is a file size limit on MSN for sharing files?
