Webspace not showing up

I signed up for an ntl dial up pay as you go account online that was over a week ago.

My E-Mail accounts are setup but my webspace is not accessible just keep getting this screen

"the page cannot be found"

I am definetly entering the correct URL
that is
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/MYUSERNAME

I have yet to use the dial up account to access the internet could that have an effect?

Am aware of the info in the articles that you provided the problem that I was experiencing was that when I was entering the URL for my Webspace I was expecting it to look like

I just tried to access it using Internet Explorer using
ftp://ACCOUNT:PASSWORD@upload.ntlworld.com/
and it worked then just uploaded a text file to prime it now when I enter the URL it shows up as above.

Ps: My ntl username is not ntlstar.

Hi - It seems normal to get the web page not found page IF you haven't uploaded a web page to your space - ( first page must be called : index ) Once you have uploaded a page:
Type: Into your browser address:
(ftp://user.name@upload.ntlworld.com/

Then use copy to drop your files into the page that opens: first page index.htm.

The only other thing I can think of is IF you have changed your user name the web space still seems to only work from your old user name..
