Game Patcher / Updater Issue - Cabal Online

Hi, have been a long standing NTL customer now and in general I have no issues with the service however there is one thing that has been plaguing me for a long time.

In games that run a patcher/ launcher I tend not to be able to download the latest updates for a few days. Whilst playing lineage II i tended to find it to be a fair annoyance but I could get past it by manually patching the game.

However with this new game. Manual patching doesnt seem possible and the only option I seem to have right now is to ask a friend to zip the contents of his folder and send it to me (which seems excessive).

I tried looking at the proxy threads but not much of it was making sense to me and only seems to be used for website browsing etc.

Also ran a search for updaters and such but didnt find anything..

Any help would be appreciated. I'm already missing an event

*EDIT*

Have tried every method including contacting the games official support team who couldnt help.

Have checked and double checked everything, the problem is that the games updater does not recognize the new update as being in place. It says "update complete" even when i know for a fact there is one. The game runs and I get about 5 seconds before the anti hacking system decides to boot me.

Did you try changing proxy?

Proxies are only used for Http traffic on port 80 however if thats the port your games updater uses to check for updates then its possible its the proxy causing the issue.

how do u fix cabal to work cuz i get the same thing where the anti hacker boots me can u tell me how u change the proxy and where it is please

You might find this helpfull. Although it is easier to use a proxy manager if you change your proxies around alot, this is the one I use with Firefox.
