NTL E-mail accounts - Unable to create additional accounts

Hi, I'm a newbie to the forum, just got so frustrated with reporting this issue, I thought I'd try and find help elsewhere. I've been away from the ntl area for a while and recently rejoined. I have been trying to create additional mailboxes for my girlfriend and children. However, everytime I get past the inputting of name, agreed e-mail address and password and click 'continue' the screen shows - 'creating account' then comes up with the error messge - 'unable to create account - invalidcosdomain' I e-mailed ntl and got a suggestion to download braodband medic and guess what? That's right - no change! I have tried altering the names, passwords, all sorts, but am still where I was weeks ago. Any ideas?

When you enter the new email address are you putting "@ntlworld.com"?

I am sure I am inputting all info correctly. I do have an update (completely useless) from NTL tho'. It goes:
Thank you for your recent e-mail.
There appears to be a fault on the system that is causing your problem, we are aware of the issue and have people working towards a resolution, unfortunately i do not have a time or date as to when this will be resolved

Now call me cynical, but this looks like a standard reply and no-one is really looking into the issue!

me again, i contacted the help line and a nice man created some e-mail accounts for me. They appologised for the problem but they are working towards a solution.
Not ideal but at least you can get some more mail boxes.

So are we saying at this time the only way to get more e-mail accounts is to phone them?? Whatever happened to 'easy to use site?'

try it - it won't be the first NTL glitch that is area dependent, it may just work for you

Nah sorry i forgot to say i have got angry trying and re-trying to create an account for my fiancee. Nothings ever easy is it!

I just tried it and still say:

Parameter Error Unable to create mailbox, returned InvalidCosDomain

Its really getting annoying now!

Looks like there may be a few of us in the same boat, I also get the InvalidCosDomain message. It is so frustrating, I want to set up five new e-mail addresses, and to be honest, why

shouldn't I? It's part of the package I pay for. True, if you phone and whinge for an hour, someone will create an e-mail address for you, but that isn't the point for me! I want to do it myself, when I feel like doing it!!!

Good day, Peops.

Am looking at the same problem at the moment, however, have struck a possible reason why this is happening.

I have changed my primary username from the one that was originally issued to me, and from this point on, this "InvalidCoSDomain" has occurred. Am currently on the line to 2nd Line Tech Support, hopefully will be able to let you guys know some more shortly!!

Ever since Friday morning my access (ability to connect to) NTL's mail server has been up and down like a yo-yo. It works for say hour then no longer able to connect again for a period of time. General internet access (web browsing) is fine.

My Email has also been very patchy over weekend and still is this morning. Can't find anything posted on 'server status'
