Can't do it now, but from memory you only add the @ntlworld.com bit when you first logon - then you type in the mailbox name you requie ie joe.bloggs and it comes back with a suggestion and then you click continue and it then gives the (in)famous InvalidCosDomain message. The reply I got from them after I emailled them via their website said: For your information the InvalidCosDomain is bug in the administration
software we are currently using. We are aiming to fix this issue in the
near future.
Hmmm reading back over the postings on this forum suggests they've had the problems for 2 years at least.

Yep: I left the company partly due to issues like this, was sick of having to ad-hoc things that were broken for months or years, this particular issue is one that has been ongoing since the website changed from ntlworld to virginmedia.

It wouldn't be that hard to run a script on the database to retrieve the email addresses, instead of hoping that it will fade-away; which is not going to happen as a lot of new users are affected.

A little bird tells me that the database has been sold to BT so when it's migrated to the new system, maybe the problem will be fixed? Ooooh Look there's Madonna knocking on my window begging for sex again.... Tsk where's my stick?

I used to work for Virgin Media, but I'm alright Nowwwwoooo!

LOL!!!

I work for a company that that does a lot of PC support and install work for NTL Sorry! Virgin Media at Hook, Crawley Court (now Aqiva?) and Winnersh, and I know what you mean. When you've finished with Madonna, send her on to me please Dave!

Use G Mail or Oink for the extra accounts !

I use G Mail from the office with replies sent back to my home NTL account.

Of cause they are free.

Not onlt have the sods deleted an e-mail address but I get the dreaded InvalidCosDomain

You have ways to check either via the Newsgroups or bite the bullet and call Tech Support.
