In these days of 6 meg and higher camera's and ever increasing file sizes its pathetic, I'd guess most people use free Gmail or Yahoo mail these days though, I don't know why NTL bother with it.
Mind you with the DNS failing on every other lookup recently it makes no difference who's mail we use, none of em work properly.

Virgin/NTL/Telwest whatever, they suck and will continue to suck.
I'm moving house soon, and there is no NTL the other end - HURRAH !!

Zen here I come, no more DNS crap or rubbish peering

Re: mailbox limit increased

Well, i'm currently loving about 2.7Gb's of email space... I would of filled an NTL mailbox roughly 12x by now.

Still, it's an improvment.

i agree - but it's better than nothing. They're now the same size as telewest mailboxes.

As for (much) larger mailboxes, i believe that it's further down the roadmap, but it's at least on the horizon.

Cheers.

True enough, I'd guess they all have their problems, the Zen forums seem pretty good though at the moment, we don't move for a while yet.

I've used a friends Zen connection and can get 6 meg from Fileplanet etc at peak times, with NTL I get less than 1 meg at any time of the day, proxy dancing helps but not reliably so.

NTL's 10 meg is just not good enough when compared to decent ISP's 6 meg performance, I get worse than my old 3 meg performance with some sites on NTL, the peering is rubbish.

Anyhow, its out of my hands as where we are moving isn't cabled.

Re: mailbox limit increased

So is there a new maximum file size for the mailbox?

Where did this info come from, as I have just sent myself a 7MB file and a received a High Water Mark notification, which to me indicated the limit is still 10MB, or does it depend on your broadband speed?
