Anybody seen this before?

When I enter a search and it does not matter what I search for, I get the following message:

We're sorry...
... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

If I enter a proxy server address in the MS exploreer connections options, I don't get the above message and everything is normal.

Do this mean that the default proxy server that I use has a virus or trojan running on it?

Sounds like someone in your proxy area has a problem, normally those messages from Google stop within 24 hours. It's happened a number of times before for many people (me included).

yep seen it many times, too much stuff happening on your proxy, try changing it.

i'm getting the same thing right now. cam area. hope it clears up soon. its a right pain!

It has cleared now, back to normal. But I guess that it would cause some people to panic thinking that they had a virus on their PC.
