Can't send attchments in Outlook
When I need to send an attchment in Outlook all I send is the link where the file came from, I've looked in settings and all that but can't find anything out of place. Any ideas??

Re: Can't send attchments in Outlook
Are you sure it's an Outlook based problem and not a problem with your anti-virus?
What version of Outlook is it and does it affect all email accounts or just one in particular?

Re: Can't send attchments in Outlook
How are you attaching the attachments?
If you click the paper clip icon in the tool bar you can browse for the attachment, the Insert button then allows you to select different options for inserting the chosen attachment. If you are dragging and dropping from a network location then these attachments sometimes show up as a link rather than the actual file...

When I send an attachment it just sends a blank page, when I look in sent tiems I can see the full attachment, them at the other end can see nothing.

In Outlook you have to click on insert, you select what you want to send for example file, picture. Click on a picture then the picture comes up in the mail box, click send the mail has gone, a few minutes later I get a mail back saying it was blank there was nothing on there.

Re: Can't send attchments in Outlook
Have you checked that your AV isn't stripping attachments from your emails?

Re: Can't send attchments in Outlook
it could also be the person recieving the email that is removing the attachments. Outlook Express does not allow attachments that could potentially be a virus - you can turn this off in the security tab in options.

I know, it could be the recipient of the email and their program that is removing the attachment.

Re: Can't send attchments in Outlook
have you tried sending an email with attachment using webmail?
If the attachments get through I think this would then help to point the problem as being at your end.
If the attachment still gets removed then it could either be the mail servers for your account (NTL?) or the mail servers for the people who you are mailing...
also, do the people who are not getting the attachment you sent get any kind of message - i.e. that the attachment was blocked etc.?
