NTL world email refusing to send-again!!
Is anyone else having issues with ntlworld.com mail refusing to send or having to resend about 10 times before it does.
This happened a few months back, but it has just started happening to me again!!
Chuffing Virgin!!!

I'm from Oxfordshire. I have have 2 NTL email addresses and it seems to only happen with my original one.

I'm having problems with this too, very frustrating! both on ntlworld email accounts :/

Having just posted this, I've managed to get it working, I changed pop3.ntlworld.com to pop.ntlworld.com
I also unticked "My outgoing server requires authentication" and I turned off SSL encryption for POP3 & SMTP and set the ports to 110 for POP3 and 25 for SMTP
Give it a try guys, I'm using Outlook 2010 and emails sent fine now  yay
The email was much faster to retrieve & send too... hope this helps.

I have been having exactly the same problem but today I called Virgin Media and they logged into my pc and fixed it.
The trick is to change the POP3 server and the SMTP server from pop3.ntlworld.com to pop3.virginmedia.com and similar for the smtp value.
Note that this is not what it says in Virgin's own Help pages on the web. They say if you have an ntlworld email address use should use the ntlworld servers.

I have 5 .ntlworld.com email addresses and they are working OK using the .ntlworld.com SMTP and POP3 servers.
Maybe the problem hasn't reached this area yet!!!

This has been happening to me over the past few days. I haven't been able to send Amy emails tonight whatsoever, although I was able to send a couple of nights ago ( but only after hitting send/receive many, many times!!
Must have a look at trying out some of the ideas on here!!!

Yeah I`m having problems logging into my ntl.com email addresses. I keep getting told my password is incorrect even though I know it is correct! Very anoying

i got 2 ntlworld.com e-mail addressess my default one was playing up ,so i compared the settings of the 2. My default one had the "this server requires a secure connection" box ticked on the incoming mail and my other e-mail address didnt so I unchecked the box and it seem ok now
