loss of Incredimail inbox

Virgin not forwarding my emails into Incredimail.
Tried everything.
Nothing works including those helpful? staff at Virgin.
Have an NTL email address.
Really really fed up now.

Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

Try another email client such as Windows Live Mail, if that works then the fault lies with Incredimail.

It does work with Windows Live Mail.
Incredimail have been doing their best to help but with no success.

Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

The setting I use for my ntl address are

Incoming mail server pop3.virginmedia.com Port number 995 ( the server requires an encrypted connection(SSL)

outgoing mail server smtp.virginmedia.com Port number 465

I thought I would load incredimail but it insists that you load a toolbar and change your phone. No way am I doing that!

If it works with Windows Live Mail then the issue is squarely in Incredimails camp, try fully uninstalling it and reinstalling it from scratch, and then import everything from Windows Live Mail.

How to remove HERE

Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

Settings all as advised by Virgin media. The problem started after a loss of internet connection earlier this year. After our service was resumed the mail problems started.

I had a similar issue with Outlook and now just use Windows Live Mail as it gives me all the functionality I need.

Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

Have paid for my Incredimail so do not want to lose it.
Have just removed it all and re-installed so cannot think of anything else to try.

it is supported by Virgin media so if they cannot get it to work then no idea what you can do about it, have they tried remotely accessing your machine to check all settings are correct.

Unhappy Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

Well have been on to Virgin again. Got a very nice lad called Daniel who did his best to help but with no success. Spoke to another engineer called Bill who also did his best but with no luck . He should have called me back this morning but did not so I am back to square one.
Do you think I should put it in writing to Virgin to see if I can get an answer from someone?
Both engineers were stumped as to what the problem is and said it needs to go higher to get a solution but I am the one who is the customer and getting nowhere. Perhaps I should withhold my payments to get someone to listen?

Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

Virgin Media email is a free addon which incurs no cost on your bill so refusing to pay will only cause issues to your credit history as they would just hand your case to a debt collection agency.

Incredimail should work the same as any other email client which you have already proved by setting up Windows Live Mail so the issue must lie with Incredimail.

Try another email clients such as Thunderbird.

Exclamation Re: loss of Incredimail inbox

The annoying thing is some messages come through!!
It seems odd that some make it whilst the rest stay in the Virginmedia inbox.
