Internet SLOW !

Guys I'm in the Redcar ( Cleveland ) area and why is it I can surf some websites ok but others I cant even get them to start. I know these sites work cos I visit them every day or so.

It took ages to log-on here but I cant get facebook to start or a fishing website "worldseafishing.co.uk" also others wont start up, yet I can visit the rest.

I know it's not me it's vm thats at fault.

Some of my pals also have the same problem.

Getting sick now

Re: Internet SLOW !

A few traceroutes would be useful and will probably show that different sites go by different routes.

Have you tried phoning? They may even admit to a congestion problem somewhere.

it most likel y the temp fiels and cache that is full or corrupt, clearing that generally fixes it, but yes trace and ping would be what i do after trying the browser itself

Re: Internet SLOW !

Thanks guys for your answers but, I phoned vm up this morning and after a little talk to the "tech" bloke I agreed to give him access to my pc and all is ok here, he did a few more checks and it is some sort of problem with vm.

He told me all would be ok in a day or two... so I'm happy with that

Thanks for the help though.

Mike.
