delete email from vm server

well more problems, today i logged into email account on vm web site. First time in a long time, as i collect email using outlook 2010

there were over 700 emails there?

why are they not deleted?

Ive checked outlook settings, and its not set to keep them, even changed its settings to delete when i delete them in outlook..

cant find anything, had to manually delete them on vm web site

ok found it, you now have to make the changes on vm web site

2. When messages are accessed with POP > delete

Yeah I had this same problem too once and then finally found the option you have to tick.

It then automatically puts the emails in the bin and deletes them after 30 days.
Well thats what it does for me.

Or if you have Outlook 2010 set it up to work with IMAP not POP, check that deleted itmes are being moved to the vm's bin/trash folder, and then you have the online and local copies of the mails you consider want retention.
