Thunderbird

I recently purchased a new Windows 7 PC which does not include Outlook Express. I decided to try Thunderbird. When I want to send an email I have to press "send" repetitively until it finally goes - until then the below dialogue is displayed. Anyone experienced this or have any tips? Thanks. T

"Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server smtp.ntlworld.com timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator."

Re: Thunderbird

See the other threads. It isnt a Thunderbird issue. It is currently a problem with Virginmedia's SMTP servers.
