
Been on to VM and spoke to a very nice young lady called Avisha. She uses some little app so she could fiddle about on my PC remotely. Sorted the web page problem seem to be something to do with Chrome. But was told the sending of emails was problem their end and would be 24 hours before it was repaired. I said thank you and hung up.
A few minutes later she called back and said her supervisor had told her something else to try. She took control of the pc again. She changed STMP to Virginmedia.com and I was about to say I’ve tried that, when she also changed another couple of settings. First on the settings tick the require login user secure password authentication (SPA). Then on More Setting, Outgoing Server tick my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. That was it and now I can send emails
