I think it is even worse than the current version.

When I log in it is to access email. I don't want "conversations" or "chat" or anything else. Just read and send email. I'd really love to go back to the way it was before they introduced the google view.

I had to mess about with it again and reset my original views
Agreed, the simple view is much easier to use when you simply want to read / send email
Once you've applied these then it is acceptable
Equally, if you don't like the conversations then remove that setting, but the googlemail interface merges the emails, unlike Outlook which keeps them separate even with conversations set to on

Mine has the new look but looks almost identical so quite happy with the new layout, but I am using Firefox.

I usually use Windows Live Mail as it is always there without needing to login anyway.

hi,half my page now seems to consist of the virgin banner and whatever advertisement banner they have on top of that and the actual e mail on the bottom half. can get a bigger share of the page for the actual e mail like the old way.cheers john
