EMAIL

ood day,

I believe my e mail address has been compromised by a scammer on E bay, he is advertising a campervan cheapish and had a form on the advert to contact him as he stated that he could not contact his e mail or e bay whilst at work.

I unfortunatly contacted him and had an e mail from him to my blueyonder addy.

Is there a way that I can keep that e mail addy or would I have to get a new one to avoid anything disatourous happening like him getting hold of passwords etc.

How do I know he is a scammer well the items real owner I have spoken to about 10 mins ago and several other people have phoned him re the item.

Any help appreciated as I don't fancy my bank account details etc being taken, Ive just changed all my bank passwords.

Regards

Dave

Re: EMAIL

You're panicking over nothing..

We give out our email addresses every day and the only danger is that you'll end up on a spam list..

There is no way just giving out your email can access your bank details or passwords unless they send you a virus and you are stupid enough to run the attachment as well as not having a AV program

Re: EMAIL

Your best bet is to only give out your personal E Mail address to those people you know well or organisations that you know you can trust.

Anything else is better suited to a public e mail account like yahoo. That's what I use it for and I get inundated with lots of hites (anag) which doesn't matter for this type of account.

Cheers and Si thee
